Frequently Asked Questions & education

choosing the right session

How do I know which service to book?

If you’re unsure where to start, use our Find My Perfect Session tool or choose based on your goal:

• Pain relief or restriction → Fascia Therapy or Therapeutic Massage
• Nervous system reset → Relaxation Massage
• Visible sculpting or lift → Fascia Facial or Sculpt Session

You can also call or text and we’ll guide you toward the best option.

What’s the difference between Fascia Therapy and Relaxation Massage?

Fascia Therapy: Structure-based treatment focused on tissue restriction, mobility, and circulation patterns. Targeted work for discomfort, tension patterns, and improving function. Often more specific and corrective.

Relaxation Massage: Calming, nervous-system focused care designed to help the body unwind rather than correct specific structural issues.

Can you work on one specific issue (plantar fasciitis, shoulder, low back)?

This is an example of a response that you might give. It's good to be as thorough as possible in responses as that has a tendency to improve trust overall.

What to expect

What should I expect during my first visit?

You’ll complete a short intake form and discuss your goals with your practitioner. From there, your session will be tailored to your needs.

Based on your tissue response, we’ll recommend a plan moving forward—whether that’s occasional maintenance or a series of sessions.

Does fascia work hurt?

Fascia work can feel intense in restricted areas, but it should remain productive and tolerable. We always adjust pressure and technique to match your comfort level, goals, and nervous system response.

What might I feel after a session?

Common responses include:

• improved mobility
• temporary soreness (similar to a workout)
• warmth or increased circulation
• a lighter or freer feeling in movement

Hydration and gentle movement help your body integrate the changes.

What should I wear?

Arrive in comfortable clothing. Depending on the treatment area, you may remain partially clothed or draped. For sculpting or contour-focused sessions, form-fitting clothing or undergarments may be recommended depending on the area being treated.

fascia therapy

What fascia therapy is (and isn’t)

The focus is on improving tissue mobility, circulation, and restriction patterns. While many clients feel deeply relaxed afterward, the intention is functional change.

What is fascia?

Fascia is the connective tissue network that supports and organizes the entire body.
It surrounds muscles, organs, nerves, and blood vessels. When fascia becomes restricted, it can affect:

• movement quality
• circulation
• tension patterns
• overall comfort in the body

Fascia therapy helps restore mobility and balance within this system.

How many sessions will I need?

Many clients notice change quickly, but lasting improvement usually requires consistency. We commonly recommend a series of sessions (often 3, 6, or 9) depending on your goals and tissue response. Tissue change is cumulative, meaning each session builds on the previous one.

Fascia Facials & Skin + Sculpt

Is this a traditional facial?

Not in the typical spa sense. Fascia facials focus on structural release, sculpting, circulation support, and visible lift, while still supporting skin health.

Will I see results after one session?

Many clients notice immediate changes such as:

• reduced puffiness
• improved contour
• softened facial tension
• increased circulation

Long-term change is best supported with consistent treatments.

Is this a replacement for injectables or surgery?

No. Our treatments support tissue health and structural balance naturally. They can also complement aesthetic procedures by helping prepare tissue beforehand and support recovery afterward when appropriate.

Is there downtime?

There is no formal downtime. Some clients may experience mild redness or tenderness immediately after treatment, which typically resolves quickly.

Booking & Policies

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:
• Cash
• Credit & Debit Cards
• Venmo
• HSA / FSA cards (for eligible services)

Payment is collected at the time of service.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes. Many therapeutic and medically necessary services may qualify. Eligibility depends on your specific plan, so we recommend checking with your provider if you have questions. If documentation is needed, we are happy to provide a detailed receipt.

Do you require a card on file?

Yes. A valid card is required to reserve all appointments and is used in accordance with our cancellation policy.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours or missed appointments are charged 100% of the service total unless someone attends in your place.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No. We operate strictly by appointment and maintain an active waitlist.

Is gratuity expected?

Gratuity is already included in our pricing structure. No additional tipping is expected.

Safety & Contraindications

Who should not receive bodywork or fascia-focused treatment?

Please reschedule or contact us first if you have:

• fever or active infection
• uncontrolled medical conditions
• recent surgery without clearance
• clotting or vascular concerns

If you are unsure, we are happy to help guide you.

I’m pregnant—can I book?

Some services may be appropriate with modifications. Please contact us before booking so we can guide you toward the safest option.

Packages & Memberships

Do packages expire?

Yes. Packages have a designated use window to help maintain momentum and treatment outcomes (commonly 3–6 months).

Are packages transferable or refundable?

Packages are typically non-refundable. Transfer requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis for situations such as relocation or medical circumstances.

Why do you recommend a series?

Tissue change is cumulative. A treatment series allows us to build on each session’s progress instead of starting from the beginning each time, which leads to more lasting results.
